  4. radiation ionizes atoms in the body and
  5. causes nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea, and other
  6. symptoms. The body cells themselves may be
  7. damaged even by relatively small doses,
  8. causing leukaemia, and genetic changes may
  9. also be induced.
